Jussi Ahlroth (born 1973) is a Finnish culture journalist, critic, and author. He has worked for Helsingin Sanomat since 2003, focusing on arts, culture, and digital culture, and has reviewed science fiction, fantasy, religious literature, and comics. He is the author of several books, including "Mie oon Lordi," a biography of the Finnish band Lordi, and "Kirje Buddhalta – Länsimaisen filosofian buddhalainen historia," which explores Buddhist philosophy in Western thought. Ahlroth is also a Vajrayana Buddhist practitioner and teacher, and a former musician who played bass in the death metal band Abhorrence and guitar in the rock band Spiha. He holds a Master of Philosophy degree and was a journalist fellow at Oxford University.
