Start with a word you want to be known by, add an optional topic, and compare a few readable variations. This is a naming exercise, not an availability checker or an identity check.
The workshop uses a small set of reviewed word patterns in your browser. It does not save or submit your inputs. Suggestions and your shortlist disappear when you leave or reload the page; copy anything you want to keep.
Ideas are generated locally. Availability is not checked.
Your ideas and shortlist will appear here. They are not saved when you leave this page.
A nickname or project word can last longer than an age, job title, or current trend. Leave out information you do not want attached to every public profile.
Read each option aloud without showing it. If you need to explain several digits, punctuation marks, or letter substitutions, try a simpler option.
Keep up to three options, then check each platform's current naming rules and account settings. An idea that fits your chosen length is not guaranteed to be accepted or available there.
Imagine a writer choosing a name for a public notebook. These examples illustrate different priorities; no account ownership or availability is implied.
Adding an underscore changes cedarnotes to cedar_notes, which is 11 characters. Separators count toward the limit. Longer combinations are omitted rather than cut off; a shorter base is usually more useful than a fragment of one.
A suggestion is just a string. Platform rules determine whether its syntax is accepted; the platform determines whether you can claim it; public evidence helps assess who uses an existing profile. UsernameLink's profile search does not reserve names, and a missing search result does not establish availability.
