About UsernameLink
Updated October 10, 2026
UsernameLink is an independent educational project for finding candidate public profiles by username. It combines a free search tool with practical guides to checking matches and understanding your own public footprint. It is not affiliated with the platforms whose profiles may appear in a search.
What the tool actually does
A search starts with the exact handle you enter. An AI-assisted web lookup gathers public search evidence, then a separate step formats that evidence into profile suggestions. The current search service requires source URLs and rejects profile URLs that are missing from the lookup evidence. This reduces unsupported output, but it does not prove that a profile belongs to a particular person.
Where the limits are
Search engines do not expose every account. Private profiles, blocked pages, renamed accounts, indexing delays, and ordinary model mistakes can affect results. Older cached searches may also predate the current validation checks. A matching handle can belong to an unrelated person, and a profile that appears today may change later.
UsernameLink does not promise a complete scan of every platform, live verification of every profile, or an identity check. Open the linked account, inspect its own public details and outbound links, and treat uncertain matches as uncertain. Our profile verification guide explains that process.
Free searches and advertising
All searches are free and require no registration. Advertising supports the homepage and editorial guides when ad serving is available. Automatically generated profile results and search-loading screens do not carry our ad placements. Advertising does not change a match or make it verified.
Corrections and responsible use
We publish guidance separately from generated results and update it when the tool or its limitations change. A discovered error is a reason to correct the information, not evidence against the person behind a handle. If a result is wrong or exposes information that should be reviewed, email [email protected] with the relevant page URL and an explanation. See Contact and our Privacy Policy.
