Jacqueline L. Scott is a scholar, writer, and activist whose work centers on the intersection of race and nature. She holds a PhD from the University of Toronto, OISE, in Social Justice Education, with research focusing on making outdoor recreation and environmentalism more accessible for Black people. Scott is an advocate for Black engagement in outdoor spaces, leads Black History Walks in Toronto, and contributes to various publications. She is also a community director at the Institute for Public Art and Sustainability, Evergreen Brickworks, and a former fellow at the Safina Center.
