Fumiko Ladd Chino is a cancer researcher and Associate Professor in Breast Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She specializes in gynecological and breast cancers, focusing her research on patient-centered care, financial toxicity of cancer care, survivorship, healthcare disparities, equity, and access. She is also a director at the Costs of Care group, a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving healthcare affordability. She transitioned to medicine after experiencing her husband's death from cancer, having previously worked as a graphic artist.
