Alexandre Flávio Silva Andrada is a Brazilian Professor of Economics at the University of Brasília (UnB), where he has taught since 2012. He holds a PhD in Economics from USP, a Master's in Political Economy from PUC-SP, and a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Pernambuco. His research and publications focus on the History of Economic Thought, Brazilian Economic History, and Political Economy, with a particular interest in the economic aspects of slavery in Brazil. He is also a frequent contributor to Intercept Brasil on economic and political issues. In 2020, he was involved in a public accusation of rape, which he denied, resulting in legal proceedings and media coverage.
